Hairstyle trends are always different from year to year. Some of them still last, but they come with new modeling and styling; or even with new alternatives so they can look completely different. There are several hairstyles that are considered to be trendy and hip in 2015. Some of them are quite classic and have existed from 2014 while some of them are quite new.
Low yet Sleek Bun
The low chignon is a classic hairstyle that remains elegant and timeless. For a simple look, you can part the hair in the center and spray hair shine to make your low bun glossy and gorgeous in the simplest way. You can also pair it up with red lipstick and smoky eyes to reach sexy but elegant look. To achieve this style, you only need to part the hair neatly and clip each side of your hairline. Gather them on your nape and then roll it gently toward the base. It is better to roll the hair, instead of twisting it. After you place pins on the hair, pull the front pieces around the existing loop. Add shine spray and you are good to go!
Bouncy and Playful Ponytail
The sleek and straight ponytail was so last year. This is the time for the bouncy ponytail – remember Barbie and her healthy bouncy style? You can start styling your hair when it is still damp. Use the curling iron for the curly and playful effect. Don’t forget to add up volumizing powder. Make sure to spray them through your roots and then backcomb the hair. Pull your hair gently for a ponytail. You can also style up the underlayers to create an even bouncier effect.
If you remember the ballerina knot, well….this is the messy alternative from it. This 2015 trend is somewhat cooler and trendier because it doesn’t have this prissy effect; plus, it has this interesting hair texture. When your hair is still damp, apply mouse and rough dry it – you are supposed to achieve natural texture. When the hair completely dries off, use only your fingers to sweep the hair toward the crown. Remember, no brush is required. Make a top ponytail and secure it with an elastic band. Then gently rope the hair around the existing base loosely and use pins to secure it. Use your fingers (again) to massage the hairline so there will be some loose strands for an effortless and messy finish.
Modern Feminine Short
Do you remember Michelle Williams or Anne Hathway’s sleek pixie cut? Well, such shortcut still exists and trendy in 2015, but with a twist. The back and the sides are cut quite short – about an inch – but the top is cut in a bit longer fashion – around seven inches. It provides chances for styling and texturing, but it is still sexy and feminine – despite the androgyny effect. Some people say that it is the feminine version of the undercut style. Well, whatever they name it, you can always choose this style if you want to look chic, stylish, and edgy at the same time.
