All women want to look fashionable and stylish, but not all of us have the money to buy branded items and fashion stuff. But rest assured that you can always look good, even with limited budgets. I have tried these methods for quite some time, and I am pretty satisfied with my collections in the wardrobe so far. There are some secrets that I can share with you, especially if you are budget-minded, like me.
Have Your Options
You should have at least three favorite stores to shop and they should have different price ranges. You should have a favorite store selling super cheap items, a rather high-end store with modest to higher price tags, and a branded store selling rather expensive items. The store selling cheap items is my go-to store when I am looking for the stylish and fashionable outfit, and I’m on a limited budget.
However, I don’t despise the branded store selling the expensive items because I can get cool items with the very affordable price when they are on sales. So far, I manage to get a Calvin Klein leather jacket, a Banana Republic cardigan, and other stuff that I love so much in my closet. All I’m saying is that you should be smart when it comes to managing your financials, especially when you want to buy for fashion stuff.
Never Fear Branded Items
Just because you are low on the budget, it doesn’t mean that you should be afraid of branded stuff. In fact, it doesn’t hurt if you can subscribe to their newsletter or befriend the sales clerks – they are a great source for sales and discounts. These stores have discounts and sales for a reason – they usually want to clear out their current supplies so they can have the newer ones. And they will be more than happy if their sales go well. So, when you buy the discounted items, you are actually doing them a favor and helping them out with the clearance.
Handy and Useful Tips
Here are some handy tips that can work well for you during your money tight period:
- Steal ideas. You don’t always have to follow the current styles rigidly – as long as you are creative and daring, you can even create your own style. You can always browse around the fashion magazines or websites and see the examples of fashions that are trendy and in. Then check your closet – you will be surprised to find out that you actually have similar items. Try them on; don’t be afraid to experiment with different items and stuff.
- Don’t be a fashion, victim. Know your body type and know which fashion suits you the best. Loose Aladdin pants may look great on lean, tall, and slim women – and if you are rather stocky and short, the pants may not compliment you at all. Just because it is trendy, it doesn’t mean that you have to follow it to the letter.
- You are your own designer. Have you an old and worn jeans vest? Why not adding patterns and change the fitting? Have you this plain bomber jacket? Why not adding decorations to make it look different? Don’t be afraid to try new things. The experiment can actually help you look chic.
