You can always use a flat board and some furniture knobs so you can hang your necklaces; they surely won’t get tangled up with this neat and cool trick. All you have to do is to get a flat board. You can use driftwood or other types of wood, as long as it is strong and sturdy enough. I found driftwood once on the beach, but you can also buy one for less than $2 at home improvement stores.

Get some furniture knobs as well – they are fairly cheap and it is better if you choose several different types. Measure and then drill the holes so the knobs can fit in – oh, you can have five to six knobs on the wood altogether. Once you have attached the knobs on the flat board, simply hang it on the wall. Now you can have your own personalized necklace holder that is inexpensive and yet very catchy and stylish.
If you have two unused ladders, place them apart. Have several wooden planks and place each of them on each step of the ladder. You can have your own unique bookshelf in an instant! You can leave it in its natural condition without painting them at all. But in case you want to add some sparks and colors, you can paint the ladders and the planks. It is a guarantee that no one has such kind of bookshelf at home! Make sure that you choose an empty wall with enough space to contain everything – the books, the planks, and the ladders.

Make use of wooden pallets to create your own wooden couch. First, you can stack up the wooden pallets into a sectional or corner couch. Then you can add foams or mattresses on top of the pallets for seating section. Foams are relatively cheaper, but mattresses can last longer. Choose any cover for the mattresses – be sure to choose interesting colors or patterns. Then add colorful cushions. The slots on the pallets – underneath the seats – can be used to store items like magazines or newspapers. It is handy, functional, and definitely economical.
If you want to have a rustic coffee table, simply put together a few wooden slats – if they don’t come with the same color, it would be even better because it can create a unique look. You can create your own pattern, and use wooden glue as well as small nails. Add legs if you want to add some heights, but if you don’t want to, that’s completely fine. Voila! You can have an exclusive looking coffee table without spending a fortune.
