When you want to look stylish and perfect, everything has to be flawless – from the top to the toe. Your perfect makeup or designer clothes won’t matter at all if your hair is a mess. Grease and dullness? It’s a big no-no for such a perfect look. However, there are some easy hair care tips that you can try on a daily basis, without you having to go to a hair salon or try the most expensive hair products. You will be surprised to find out that the simplest way of choosing the right shampoo and condition for your hair can help you a lot.
The Basic Tips
Caring for your hair isn’t difficult as long as you know how. Here are some basic moves you should do:
Choose the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type. If you have damaged hair, go with the shampoo for damaged hair because it will be packed with vitamins and minerals needed by your hair. If you suffer from dandruff, choose the right shampoo because it will contain a formula to combat the white flakes.
It is better to go with different shampoo and conditioner (not the 2 in 1 type) because it helps the hair. Most people have dry hair strands with an oily scalp. When you choose separated shampoo and conditioner, you can apply the conditioner correctly starting from the root to the end of the hair. With 2 in 1 shampoo, it will be applied on the scalp, which will make the oil issue get worse.
Your hair should be completely wet before you can apply shampoo. In this way, it will minimize breakage. Make sure to rub the shampoo on your palms first and then lather thoroughly for 30 seconds – try not to be more than that.
Use cool water to rinse the shampoo so the moisture in the hair shafts will remain protected and sealed.
Make sure to always dry the hair thoroughly. Don’t rub it with the towel; simply pat on the hair. You can also try wrapping your hair in a towel for around 10 to 15 minutes after taking a shower. The towel will absorb the moisture well and you don’t need to treat your hair harshly.
If your hair is frizzy, a bit dry, or coarse, use a hair serum. After the hair is damp, use a liquid serum; starting from the root to the end. If you want to use the spray one, that’s okay. After applying the serum, don’t forget to massage your scalp.
Here are some tips for your daily hair treatment:
- Dull hair can also be the sign from poor diet. Consider reducing the consumption of fats and cholesterol and see how it works for your hair. Add more veggies and fruits – adding juices into your daily consumption won’t hurt either.
- If you use a lot of hairsprays, leave on conditioner, or styling gel, it can create buildup. Use a tablespoon of baking soda mixed with your shampoo to remove the buildup. Do this once a week and you should see your hair becomes smooth, shiny, and healthy.
