I heard the speech of Viola Davis (recently from THE HELP) at the Elle Women In Hollywood, and was touched immediately. I often speak about diversity on my blog, and her words are a direct vein to where my heart pumps. Although I am not an actress, this is what every women wants in life regardless of their color, A CHANCE and for their stories to be heard. She received a standing ovation, and rightfully so.

My favorite part of Fall/Winter is the wearing of coats of jackets. This trench is one that I love because it is a twist on the traditional twist. It has swing bottom, and bow tie belt which makes the look more feminine when the clothes under the jacket are as well.
It has been raining for almost 4 days straight. A pair of these would look great with any coat. They come in great colors, and look super stylish even with everyday clothes.

That has to be one of the questions I get most from readers that send me emails. I try my best to be honest with you guys as I have in the past. I take what I have learned, what I see, and pop out an honest answer.
In my opinion growing your blog comes from you having an…
Once people get to know you as ________, they trust your voice and look forward to hearing your views about something. Or the details of whatever your subject matter is.
People usually like blogs that they can relate to in some way, and bloggers that are somewhat REAL. As with anything. If someone takes the time to email you. The least…I mean VERY LEAST that you can do is reply back. I have reached out to a few bloggers that don’t hit the reply button unless its business related. NOT FAIR to the readers. These days, some blogs are becoming so major and that voice that you grow to enjoy gets lighter because of all the “extra” that is now going on in that bloggers life due to the blog. All of that is great, but once you get to that point…just
so that your readers know you are still the same person that they grew to know. Otherwise there are millions of others choices out there.
Don’t take comments as a representation of how big your blog is. Some people will never comment, some often, and some will daily. But if you put time into your blog, and watch your numbers, and how people react to certain posts. You will then….
which really is the door opener. If you don’t learn your audience, don’t take blogging serious.
On top of all the above and some extra that I hope to speak about later. My number one advice is to first make your blog….
people like organization in things they read. To much extra can just be TO MUCH on the eyes, and sometimes ears depending on your blog. We don’t all have money to hire a designer, so I would say keep things neat and clean until you can get something done professionally.

G-Shock watches have made their way into my home via the teen and tween. I was at Nordstrom the other day trying on one as a gift for one of the kids, and thought HMMM………. I like this for me, but it wasn’t my style completely. I am a huge fan of all shoes JEFFERY CAMPBELL. These caught my eye something bad guys. I don’t know spikes are pulling me in so, but they are. I can see my daughter loving these 10 years from now, and thanking me for the “VINTAGE SHOES”. If you want that crazy, or calm 70’s vibe in a shoe. Jeffery Campbell has it all. Just sayin.

I received some left over fabric samples from one of our sponsors FABRICADABRA, and decided to make some art. Fabricadabra has some of the best IKAT FABRIC I have ever seen, and loved each remnant. It was very easy to do, and I spent zero dollars for a quick change to an an existing frame.
That was easy huh? I think any one could do that with their eyes closed. Now its just waiting to go up on the photo wall.

Decorating your first place can be so exciting, and a bit of a chore when you don’t know what to do. I recall being all over the place with décor ideas and making the biggest mistakes.
