Headboard

Here comes the board…here comes the board. (singing the wedding song) In my daughters room. I found a Hancock Fabrics when we were in Houston so I figured I would take a chance on some fabric. I bought two colors, used one..and not so sure that its the one, but its working.

SAD SAD SAD

Here is the view from my bed. I am tired of looking at this. I refuse to put another blue up on the wall. I know what I want…he knows what he wants. But is it on the wall? I have Martha Stewart Paint on the wall. Benjamin Moore Paint on the wall. Glidden Paint on the wall, and of course Behr Paint on the wall. But who is the fairest of the all?

I decided to go ahead and put these samples up so that I would be forced to paint. But I just don't know what I will paint, and its driving me nutto.

DSC_0700  DSC_0699  This came in yesterday and is now up on the wall. I am wondering. Its the Newburg Green again. Isn't this color just sexy?

Bigger is Better

Finally I found a bigger mirror for the living room. Homegoods had this puppy for $130 which was a great price. I could not believe it was still there.

Blue + Green= Beautiful

Howdy Folks. My vaca is over and things are getting back to normal around the fort. Except for luggage that is sitting around UNPACKED. We visited Michigan, and yes I took about 20 magazines, and three books. All of which I DID NOT TOUCH. My son asked me why do I keep taking them on our trips, and I never read them. My intentions were good though. I did get to visit Homegoods in Utica which was a horrible experience. From RUDE ASSOCIATES, to RUDE ASSOCIATES. So I left with nothing from them because I refused to spend my money with such bad service. But overall the MI was pretty good to us. I just hate I missed out on beautiful CANADA across the way.

Every since the day I saw the preview catalog from West Elm, I knew that I loved this color and had to have it. I am not sure where it will end up in my home, but it will end up somewhere. I love the richness of the blue, but with very subtle tones of green. In my opinion this color can be taken into fall with dark wood tones, and transitioned in spring with cool colored accessories, and accent furniture. Well done West Elm for highlighting this great color by Benjamin Moore.

The possibilities are endless with this beautiful color.

I am going to run this color by hubby and see what he thinks of this in our bedroom. I really didn’t want to go this dark in the bedroom, but I am in love with this color. Stay tuned for photos of my new dilemma.

Thoughts?

A Dream - A Reality

You guys do not know my love for this store. It goes all the way back to the early years of 2000 when I was in the magazine business. I had plans of going to NY to shop at H & M and it has yet to happen. But something said to me yesterday.

“Tamara?…You should check and see if H & M is here”

I checked with my cell phone, and it popped up with the stores being all over. So below is a chronicle of my first ever trip to H & M, and what I liked and didn't like.

I have been on a Harem Pant kick lately, and ummm my shape is not made for these Harem Pants at all. How dare they not fit me, and sag?

I found a lot of the pants to not work with my body type as you can see.

This top is F21. I really like it. These shirts are just great for hiding imperfections while still looking fashionable and girly. Clearly my shorts would not go with the top because they have to much going on with the patches. But a plain fitted jean would be cute.

I had a great time! And will be going back since the mall was closing when I went.

Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku at Target

I don't know how you all feel about Gwen Stefani, but its a known fact that I love her, LAMB and Harajuku. My daughter has a Harajuku collection of bags, and shirts thanks to me! So we were strolling Target, and I was off looking at something. All of a sudden she says “MAMAAAAAAAAA” and I reply with a “WHHHAT” after having her ask me to buy her this and that. She says “LOOK” with excitement. I looked and ran to the end cap of happiness. There it all was. Notebooks, Journals, Binders, Pocket Notebooks…etc etc. So yeah my daughter and I bought some good loot. I am shame to show what I bought.

 2010-07-15 18.22.17 2010-07-15 18.22.49 2010-07-15 18.25.41 2010-07-15 18.25.53 2010-07-15 18.26.44 2010-07-15 18.19.28

The other items are pretty folders with black and white photographs with a splash of color. A girly girl journal and nice bathroom accessories in a lovely aqua. Also the last journals shown remind me of journals from Papaya, yes?

Target just does it up every time.
