Green Apple with Sugar

Yall are all to good! You guessed it right. Excuse the photos. I don't know which is which. This dresser was ready, but I left the house…came back, and it was in her room with clothes in the drawers, and a TV on top. So I had to repaint because there was a dent. I tried to tell them it has to rest for DAYS!

The issue I am having is the pulls. I am not loving them with the green. I went to Anthro yesterday for some pulls, but didn't see anything I really liked. But all in all I love the color.

The color is Green Apple, from Home Depot. The process was easy.

Primed, sanded certain spots, spray painted, dried, added poly..the end

Well I decided to try out the chevron on canvas before hitting a wall in the house. I am going to be honest…I don't get off on the whole measuring system..as you can see this project was BAD. I mean…pissed me off bad. I was so ticked, I didn't want to finish, and really didn't care any longer. So SAD.

Look at this HOT MESS!!! I am ashamed to even post it..But I keep it real with yall, so I am showing it all. Boy that thing is fugly wugly!

GO ahead and laugh..Its fine.

So if I want bold in the ceiling...It will be a color and light fixture.

A New Idea

Ok..I was telling my Lover the other day that I want something bold in the front. He looked at me like I was crazy! Now keep in mind. The left side is the office and the right is the formal. I love the stripes that Michelle did in her home. And the chevron in Maria’s home. I thought about getting up there myself with some frog tape, and making it happen. Or should I get a professional. If I messed up that ceiling, I would be FURIOUS. I love the crown molding, Its like butta to me.

By the way…That light fixture is so friggin ugly. WHY is it still here?

Great jobs, and alooooot of time, and measuring. That is my sore spot. I don't have time to be so patient. I want it fast. LOOKS PERFECT! I don't know. Maybe just a bold color would do. Finally Found

I have been looking for one of these for almost a year. They are paint brushes in bone, or some other good casing that I love. I spotted them at Homegoods last year, and didn't get them because I didn't want to spend $40 for them. I ended up seeing them in Elle Decor, and kicked myself. I looked every visit, and nothing. Well I ran across one last week. There was no price, so they sold it to me for $5.00…YES! Now all I need are more!

My Weekend In Pics

We drove down to Houston Friday for our sons basketball tournament, and it ended up being a great weekend. We stopped at the infamous Galleria Mall and let me tell you. I was ready to go! The mall was just to big, and too crowded. I have never seen a mall crowd like that. I would rather do Black Friday!

There was also an IKEA…We stopped in and I saw things that I have never seen here. I also picked up two lack shelves because my IKEA here, advised me the lack shelf was discontinued???How could that be? Anyway…here are a few pics of my weekend.

My handsome driver drove both ways…thanks babe. I packed over 10 magazines, and 3 books all on decor. I read 0!

I came prepared with my laptop, but just didn't make anything happen…sorry blog.

I loved the decor of the Embassy Suites Hotel…He was looking like, what’s the big deal Mom with the mirror…but he wanted our bed…

Finally for the big moment…He loved them.

He played well…We were proud. As always…its all for him.

My favorite moment is always the “Daddy talk” my husband gives him on the way to the car after each game. That’s why I married him. I knew he would make a WONDERFUL FATHER!

I don’t know what other women’s husband do. But mine will eat his food and mine! I had a small apple pastry on my plate. I looked down and it had 2 big bites, my fruit portion got smaller, and my omelet…well..I just got up and said “YOU CAN HAVE IT BABE”

When you see the skyline you know you are home!

Painted Sunburst

I saw this at Homegoods, and grabbed it. Very different that the normal. All wood, and kind of rustic or Shabby Chic potential if you as me. Of course those are not my styles, so I painted it. The color is cool, but anything can happen….I might see another color and flip. I am sorry for the lack of photos on this project, but I used tape to cover the mirror...primed, painted white...Didnt like that...and ran to get a grey, and that is that.

The issue is what color am I going with…

Oh and I made the chalkboard for my daughter. I am going to miss my collage, but I think this will suit her better.
