EBay Hotness

This faux bamboo piece below was won by for $9.99—Of course there is a shipping charge, but still anything under $150.00 is really a great price. I LOVE FAUX BAMBOO and would paint this a nice neutral color. Nothing loud like the last piece, as I might put it in my bedroom. Don't know yet, but I think its a great piece. Below are some other favorites of mine for the same seller.

Chewy Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies

I received a few emails on these good looking cookies that my lover whipped up a few weeks back. Hope you love them as much as we do.

Chewy Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 6 3/4 ounces all-purpose flour (1 1/2 c.)
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 2 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
• 8 ounces unsalted butter, slightly softened
• 1 cup packed light brown sugar
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs, beaten lightly
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• 6 ounces dried cranberries (1 1/3 c.)
• 5 ounces chopped pecans (about 1 c.)

Directions

1. Oven to 350 degrees F.

2. (if baking right away).

3. Line sheet pans with parchment.

4. Mix the dry ingredients together, then stir in the oats.

5. Set aside.

6. Beat the butter and both sugars together until light and fluffy.

7. Add the eggs, then scrape down the bowl; add the honey and vanilla and beat until blended.

8. Add the flour mixture in two additions, beating each until well combined.

9. Stir in the cranberries and pecans.

10. At this point, you can either bake, or freeze.

11. To freeze, just scrape the dough onto plastic wrap, roll into a log, wrap tightly, and freeze until ready to bake.

12. Then just take them out of the freezer, let sit for about 15 minutes, then slice into 3/16" thick slices and bake as directed.

13. To bake immediately: drop by tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart on parchment lined sheet pans.

14. Bake until the centers of the cookies are soft and no longer look wet; about 9-11 minutes.

15. Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool.

Hello to some of my favorite people! I know I have been a bad blogger these last weeks. I so apologize as I love you all, but one aspect of my life really has had me this month to no end. I ask that you all please send positive vibes and thoughts my way. It is almost Christmas so I will be taking this time to not focus on anything but my wonderful husband, and super supportive kids who help soothe my mental everyday when I come home. I wish you all the best Christmas and Holiday season, filled with memories and love. You all are the best readers a blogger could have..I will hopefully be back next week. I found this picture last weekend. It is rather old, but made me smile. My kids were of course younger than they are now, I had longer hair, and my lover had no chin hair..Time flies. They will all be happy though on the morning of the 25th. I cant wait.

Getting Close

I mentioned before that I want a Ghost Chair in clear. I have the real thing in black and love it. But lets be real..I really don't want to break bread in a major way for this small chair. Overstock has the chair in a set for around $260 and I have seen it on eBay for around $150. The reviews seem to be pretty good, but I don't know the reviewers. Have any of you all made this purchase? Or seen it in person?

I found this beauty at Anthropologie this weekend. The 6 was a bit to big up top, and the 4..well I am not a size 4. But I loved this dress. I am sure its gone now, so need to cry over spilt milk. The lace at the bottom, and the black satin button on the back just make it gorg. I cant forget the peti underneath. Has anyone seen this beauty? Its on sale for $69.99.

My Style Flashback

I was looking for something to replace wear to work, and stumbled upon some shoes that I purchased a few years back. You know the kind? The ones you really loved back then, but don't have a clue why you don't wear them anymore. Well that is the deal with these two shoes. The pointed heels are in now still, but I bought these when pointed really made its return. They are Waaaaayyyy to pointed for my taste today. Now the glasses…Hmmm the glasses. I was at the Neimans Outlet a while back and done know what made me get these rhinestone Miu Miu shades. Maybe I was channeling Rihanna or Gwen, but they have never seen the day of light and have sat in my closet for almost 2 years now. Sad I know.

Pricey does not= cute

I don't care how you spell it, what you spend on it, where you put it, or who you are. But this shat is ugly. All of it. This post is out of the norm for me almost, but I was up late watching MTV Cribs and saw some Lamborghini furniture. I am sure it cost a pretty penny, but why? They would have done better hiring me. Lesson...just because it cost alot does not make it cute.

These pillows were beauties. Made very well. I guess I still have not made it okay to spend $100 on a pillow. I am just not there yet. There are lots of pillows out that I love with a 3 figure price tag...just not ready.

Christmas stocking with some funk....

My daughter saw these and wants one. These bikes are $400. The first thing she says is "THAT'S NOT BAD MAMA"...excuse me? Why is it that kids love to say that. DO you have a job? Do you pay bills? What makes you think its okay to say a bike at $400 is not bad?

Mr. Styles can cook

Mr. Styles put it down in the kitchen the last few days. Oatmeal cranberry, white choc, walnut cookies, and a spinach salad all his own (pickles?). I was offered a salad, but passed for salsa and chips..Yall will get that joke on the way home. But there is nothing like a man that can cook, and looks damn good doing it while wearing his wifes J Crew bling.

Just the start…NEXT

I have yet to get the pulls so for now these will do. I was at Anthropologie this weekend and NADA ENCHILADA! So I said, GET WITH IT CHICK! I bought some silver paint and bammm ready for use. It is a Peek-a-boo glossy gum drop.

I DID THAT!

And the shine on this piece is SICK! The wipe on poly was it jack.

Thanks again to everyone that helped me with this. I feel like I can do anything now. I even stopped by a friends to help her get her desk going. She moves like molasses, called me bossy, but wants me to come finish it. I enjoy the after so much, I think I just might. Someone check my temperature. No…As I mentioned I had one hell of a work week last week, and she really helped me get through it while on the job. If your reading this!

I dont know how many of yall like Rihanna, but her new song Russian Roulette is deep. I love the song, and the video is just...I love it..it was my drive home from work song. I mean I SANG LIKE I WAS GETTING PAID IN THAT TRAFFIC! I had ONE HELL OF A WEEK, AND THIS SONG HELPED GREATLY...(key words..."know that i must past this test" ) ...anywho, I ran up on this talented young lady by the name of Tiffyiffyiffy on youtube. She redid the song in piano/acoustic. Please check it out. Love it...I dont post music often.
