This Back In...

I missed this table the first time around, but never again.

I have placed my order and it should be out for delivery in March

or Mid April. It was a very popular table. Glad to see Target do the right thing and bring it back. That means the consumer was HEARD!

In other news...I am passing the "GET IT GIRL AWARD" on to the
ohh soo fab blog THE CHLOE CONSPIRACY. Her
style is wicked sick and a must see.

What a deal! This sofa is now $299 at UrbanOutfitters.

Mama's List, but for Daddy

It takes alot for me to recognize another mans style because
I think my husbands is so HOT. However, Andre 3000 of the
Rap group Outkast has always caught my eye, and with his clothing line
Benjamin Bixby all men without style should jump
on board. The clothing line is sold at Barneys and varies in
price, based on the item. It is a bit pricey, but a sale
is going on now with a few pieces from the line.

When a girl LOVES her shoes

I have to admit..I love my Tory Burch heels..They have a vintage, yet mod look to
them. I searched high and low for these shoes
and love them to death. Had to post my babies.

My Butterfly, plus...

Here is the beautiful butterfly that I purchased at the Mardi Gras
Parade at the Bishop Arts Market. I love it. I wish I could
walk around with it like this myself.
My husband has advised me that he is taking on the decorating
in our movie room. The only part I have managed to
participate in is the these cute pillows. I bought them
at Homegoods, and love the color. The photo
does not show the true turquoise. I just love
the brown and turquoise mix.
These suitcases are my Honeys inspiration. He loves all things
old. I had to hurry up and get him out of the antique shop
because there is no telling what we would have
ended up with. These suitcases were his Mothers
and he loves them. Now I will say that he has
framed old albums of Rick James, Smokey Robinson,
The Isley Brothers, Janet Jackson (1st album), and the
list goes on. Now either the room will turn
out good, or it will be very bad! I will
keep you all posted.

Domino Could Have Stayed...

Let me start with this insanity..check out this auction. I dont know what to think or say....

I don't know how many of you are following The Domino Dynasty unfold on ebay, buy let me tell you. Domino could have stayed in business for all the loot that is being spent on past issues. Now I am guilty of it to I must say because I am missing a lot of 07,06, and 05. I really want a full collection and no one is giving me any so I have no choice. I have even talked my little sister into sponsoring me a couple of issues and she did! But today I was after the first issue ever with a September 05 attached. I watched it like the prey it was. I moved in for the bid, and hit refresh when all of a damn sudden things went NUTS. It was at $44.50.......
and I thought I would sneak in, take it, and run right? NOT. Before I knew it, I looked up and the damn auction went up to $60, then $65,..By then my ass was done. But next it was at $74 and that's where it stayed. Plus $5 s/h charge. I have stalked all the Half Price Books, and I am tired of asking them to check the shelves...uhhh just had to vent here. Have you bought any from EBAY? But really I think what is being paid on ebay is worth many subscriptions.

A Steal I can SEE

Ok, yall know Homegoods is my spot right? Well I went in during lunch on Friday and ran into this mirror. It is huge! It measures 3 1/2 x 6 and I can see everything in it. I put it in my master bedroom right up against the wall and it looks great. But the steal is the mirror was only

$49.99 and great quality.....I know right...same thing I said. I have shopped there for a while now and the mirrors this size are way more expensive. I wonder if the tag was right?

My Mardi Gras Sunday

We thought we would just stroll around in the Bishop Arts District and check out some stores and get some eats. Little did we know it was Mardi Gras! My daughter missed it because she was out with my sister, so the little guy rolled with me and Hubby. I ran into some stores and saw somethings that reminded me of some of you all, and the things you like. Hope you likey.

Our first stop! Love the store name, and the items were caahute (cute).

Loved this store. I bought a beautiful butterfly that I will post tomorrow. This store was tranquil and beautiful. Not to mention the owner was as nice as he could be.

The "law" rides horse in TEXAS

What a bike!

Everything is about the "green"

Hubby and I loved this Vintage store

We had to show our son how these phones work.

Beautiful vintage art!

Vintage fan

I forgot where its from, but it was used to smuggle things.

Another great item

This I wanted so bad! But what would I do with it? Play store?

Vintage clothing store

Vintage shopping bags

Glittered Letters

I saw these on display at Papersource and thought they were so cute. So I leaped over to Hobby Lobby and bought the paper letters ($1.99), glue ($1.47), glitter ($3.99), and sponge brushes. It was very easy. I envloved my son, and it said it was fun! It was very easy and looked great.

Apply generous amount of glue.

Spread with sponge brush, extending to corners.

Sprinkle glitter on (dont use a light hand)

All glittered out!

Turn letter to the side and hit it to knock the access off.

Tah Dah! All done. Hope you try it. If you do, let me know. I would love to see what you did.

Fabric Store Trip

I had an appointment to pick out fabric on Saturday, but got a call to reschedule because she had to go out of town. So I decided after my beauty shop day with daughter that we would go by there anyway just to look. I found a few samples that I liked, but nothing that made me click my heels like Drew's fabric below. DAMN expensive taste, I owe that to my Granny....thanks

I finally find what I want and its $438 per yard, NOT!
But the stripes was found for $6.99 per yard.

This is only a snap shot. Its HUGE in there. To much for me and an 11 years old who could care less about anything I was doing...

I cant deal with all of these choices. Good thing I don't need any of that trim.

This fabric was in the "special order book" and I liked it.

This caught my eye! I think because the colors remind me of Drew's sofa. The only thing is the fabric is $59.99 per yard. I get a 20-30% off fabric price since they are doing my work. So although its not what I wanted to spend on fabric I have to be happy.
This is the fabric hung up on the sofa. Are the stripes to much? Should I have them darken the wood? Or just leave it the way it is?
Here are all the samples I brought back. I really don't want florals and don't know why I picked out the black, red, and white sample.

Uhhh. Drew, call me!!!! We need to talk sister girl.

My Mini Me

Time is really passing me by. I looked up yesterday and she was my height! Not only did
she change my BODY 11 years ago, but she changed my life as well. She is my mini me. A little Tamstyles. Now if I could keep her out of my heels, my MAC, and my office. All would be good.

Inspiration Boards

I found that inspiration boards are truly just what they are. They give you inspiration, or at least they have done that for me. I am a visual person, so if I have something looking back at me it gets more attention in my mental rolodex. Now I just bought this board from Homegoods on clearance for $22. I spray painted it lacquer black and hung it up.

As you can see there are many different types of boards. It just depends on the goals you are setting. They also go by different names. Some people call them idea boards and others call them mood boards. Its up to you.

If you have a board I want to see it!
